Experiences of work and study at MRC/CSO SPHSU, University of Glasgow:
Craig Donnachie and Michael Green

Craig Donnachie - joined the unit in 2011 for a PhD studentship on the experiences of men participating in "Football Fans in Training", a partnership between the SPL Trust, Football Pools, and the Scottish Government to run twelve week sessions at SPL clubs aimed at improving physical activity, diet and promoting a healthy lifestyle amongst participants. The programme was developed with, and is being evaluated by, academics from the unit and the Universities of Glasgow, Dundee and Strathclyde.

Michael Green - joined the unit in 2006 as a research assistant, and in 2011 secured funding from the Scottish Chief Scientists Office for Scotland for a PhD on how socioeconomic factors influence development of smoking, drinking and mental health problems over the life course.
