Psychological Well-being

Very little is known about psychological well being amongst ethnic minority groups in childhood or adolescence, although in adulthood some groups, such as the Black Caribbeans, have poorer mental health.

Projects are examining:

  • family type, quality of family life, socio-economic disadvantage and psychological well-being
  • obesity and psychological well-being
  • aspects of cultural identity and mental health
  • parental health behaviours and psychological well-being.
