Great Govan Science Reshuffle 2012

Karen and Gillian went along to The Great Govan Science Reshuffle to debut their interactive activity Health and the City, challenging children to think about social and environmental influences on their health. Children were invited to consider the health implications of the built environment by using building materials to create a model city, and researchers talked to young people and adults about social and public health issues associated with urban environments, including active travel and obesity; social patterning of health; and the impact of neighbourhoods and environments on health.
