Biography and Interests

Sarah joined the MRC Social and Public Health Sciences Unit as a part-time Investigator Scientist in 2010. Sarah worked previously for the Higher Education Academy Psychology Network and as a lecturer at the University of the West of Scotland’s Centre for Academic and Professional Development. She has recently completed a PhD in psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University and also holds a BA (Hons) and MRes in psychology from the University of Strathclyde and an MSc Health Psychology from the University of Stirling.

Sarah is currently Project Manager for the SEED Trial. Since starting at the SPHSU in 2010 she has worked on the pilot of the SEED Trial and a scoping study to assess and map the range of “whole school” approaches addressing multiple adolescent risk behaviours in Scotland. She also has research interests in the psychology of pain, chronic illness and qualitative research methods.
