Biography and Interests

Simon graduated from the University of Salford in 2013 with a 1st Class BSc (hons) in Environmental Health and the following year completed an MSc in Environmental and Public Health, graduating with a Distinction. Previous areas of research have included the mental and physical health impacts of pest infestations; mental health inequalities; and the evaluation of community drug and alcohol recovery services in Manchester.

Simon joined the Research Unit in 2015 to undertake a PhD, looking at intergenerational transfer of parenting values, as part of the THRIVE trial. Simon’s work is supervised by Dr Katie Buston and Dr Marion Henderson.
